Im Zentrum Technik f\u00fcr Nachhaltigkeit (ZTN) widmen sich die Forschenden unter anderem der Weiterentwicklung spezifischer Schl\u00fcsseltechnologien wie Leichtbau, Photonik, Produktionstechnologien und Materialwissenschaften.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"PMStandard\">All diesen Teams steht nun ab sofort ein frisch installiertes 3D-R\u00f6tgenmikroskop f\u00fcr ihre Forschungsaktivit\u00e4ten zur Verf\u00fcgung. \u201eWir freuen uns sehr, dass wir mit dem R\u00f6ntgenmikroskop eine L\u00fccke in der Ger\u00e4teinfrastruktur nicht nur am ZTN, sondern auch an der Hochschule Aalen schlie\u00dfen konnten\u201c, sagt <a href=\"\/netzwerk\/forschende\/#timo-bernthaler\">Dr. Timo Bernthaler<\/a> aus dem Leitungsteam des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hs-aalen.de\/de\/facilities\/90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instituts f\u00fcr Materialforschung (IMFAA)<\/a>. Bernthaler ist ebenfalls aktiv Forschender in der SmartPro-Partnerschaft der Hochschule und war zusammen mit anderen SmartPro-Forschenden an der Beantragung beteiligt.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"PMStandard\">Das R\u00f6ntgenmikroskop (XRM) erm\u00f6glicht eine Aufl\u00f6sung im Sub-Mikrometerbereich und wird in den unterschiedlichsten Forschungsaufgaben zum Einsatz kommen: Beispielsweise kann es im Bereich der Energiespeicher dabei helfen, den Alterungsprozess von Batterien in der Elektromobilit\u00e4t besser zu verstehen. Der Vorteil dabei ist, dass man in die innersten Strukturen blicken kann, ohne die Batterie oder das Bauteil aufschneiden zu m\u00fcssen. Die dabei entstandenen Aufnahmen von den Mikrostrukturen k\u00f6nnen dann wiederum unter Einsatz von k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz \u2013 sogenanntes \u201eMachine Learning\u201c \u2013 dazu dienen, die Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit von Mikroelektronikbauteilen zu bestimmen. \u201eDamit tr\u00e4gt unsere Forschung letztlich dazu bei, Produkte ressourcenschonender herstellbar und energieeffizienter zu machen\u201c, schw\u00e4rmt Jan Niedermeier aus dem IMFAA-Team.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"PMStandard\">Von den vielf\u00e4ltigen Einsatzm\u00f6glichkeiten des XRM werden auch die SmartPro-Forschenden und -Partner \u2013 insgesamt \u00fcber 60 aus Industrie und Forschung \u2013 profitieren k\u00f6nnen.
