Non-accessible content
The following content on our website is not yet fully accessible at this time. The reasons for this are technical limitations of the modules used and the fact that certain content was created before the current accessibility requirements were introduced.
Interactive graphic on the research page
The interactive infographic published on our “Research” page (smart-pro.org/research#infographic) was created before the current accessibility requirements were introduced. At the time of publication, accessible implementation had not yet been technically considered. Therefore, the graphic is currently not fully accessible to screen reader users. We plan to make the content available in an accessible format (e.g., as text or PDF) in a future revision.
Logo slider on the home page
The logo slider used is not fully accessible with the modules currently in use. Some of the companies shown can also be found on the “Network Partners” page (smart-pro.org/netzwerk/partner) in an alternative list format. However, not all logos from the slider are included there. We are currently looking into ways of making this content fully accessible as well.
Thumbnails for posts and events
The preview images (thumbnails) for posts and events cannot currently be made fully accessible using the content management system in place. However, the content itself (title, date, text) is accessible independently of the thumbnails. We are investigating how future CMS updates or alternative plugins can be used to make these elements accessible as well.
Completion
We are continuously working to remove existing barriers and improve the accessibility of our website. For future content, we will pay greater attention to ensuring that it is accessible from the outset.
English – Picture Descriptions
The accessible alternative texts and titles for the images are currently only fully implemented in the German language version. These adjustments are still missing in the English version. Accessible provision of image information in English is planned for a future version.

With SmartPro, Aalen University of Applied Sciences has positioned itself in the top group of universities of applied sciences nationwide. SmartPro is one of ten networks funded through the "FH-Impuls" program of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space with approximately 10 million euros from 2017 until 2025.
